As we go through the fifth season of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, let’s take a look at what the previous winners have been up to recently and how the show has impacted their lives.
The Big Brother Naija reality TV show is organized in such a way that 20-21 contestants live in an isolated house known as big brother house to compete for cash price and other material awards.
For one to emerge a winner, a contestant must try all their possible best to escape from eviction from the house and must earn the highest votes by viewers if they are lucky. Let’s take a look at what the previous winners have been up to.

This the first of its kind in Nigeria which took place from March 5th to June 4th2006 of which the contestant spent 92 days in the house. The show was hosted by Michelle Dede and Olisa Adibua. The season edition had Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, and Katung Aduwak as the Winner.
He went home with a $100,000 prize money equivalent to #45,000 in 2020. He proceeded to New York where he had his directorial degree from the digital film academy. He is a director, producer, and also a scriptwriter. He is credited for some of his works like HEAVENS HELL AND UNWANTED QUEST.

Winner BBNaija Season 2 See Gobbe

Note that in this edition of the big brother show the brand name changed from big brother Nigeria to big brother Naija (BBNaija) as it was held in South Africa in 2017 with its A.K.A as ‘see Gobbe’.
It took place January 22ndto 14th April 2017 with the 22 contestants competing for the grand prize of #25 million, this show which was hosted by Ebuka Obi Uchendu saw Efe Ejagba as the winner.
It is worthy to note that Efe gains himself a lot of fans through his street behavior as he normally uses the Warri to depict his struggle and that of many Nigerians.
He migrated from Jos to Lagos Nigeria where he pursued his musical career in the entertainment industry with ‘ based on logistics his first and popular song. He is still a work in progress.

This edition also held in South Africa as the second edition over there was a success, it was so dramatic like its theme ‘double wahala’ with Cee making the house with her controversial behavior and other housemates like Tobi Alex And Miracle who won the season of this edition.
During the show when asked what he will use the money for he didn’t think twice about his Aviation school, he was so determined to make it to the final by winning most of the games evidenced by the N1 million cash prize from Payporte Arena Games and N200,000 from the Final Wager. He went home with # 25 million naira cheque, Hyundai SUV, home appliances and an exotic trip, and other recognition after.
When he was done with all the necessary things, he left for his aviation school to become a professional pilot, and now he has earned that degree he has ever wanted.

This season of the big brother edition show was held in Nigeria for the first time, unlike the previous times. themed ‘pepper them’ as the show was so peppery if you understand what I mean.
There were 26 housemates for the period of 99 days competing for N60 million naira worth of price and Ebuka Obi Uchedu returned as the host with housemates like Frodd, Mike Tacha, and Mercy who emerged the winner.
Mercy Eke became the first female winner of the reality TV show and went home with a cash price of N30 million, N25 million worth of Innoson Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), a trip to Dubai, and other prizes.
In her speech she said “The winner takes it all” and she was right, there has not been any dull moment on her side since after the show.
She has bagged lots of endorsements, received the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Dressed Female (AMVCA). She has launched her reality TV show ‘Mercy & Ike ‘ where they talk about themselves. She has launched her own real estate company, Lambo Homes’, and her clothing line ‘ I just want to relass and be taken kairoff’ she would always say.
