Do You think International Media outlet Favors Nigeria?

The media masks the uniqueness of Nigeria by showing its most backward and bad side. I don’t know who needs this to be heard for crying out loud! Nigeria is not what you see on various media outlets, particularly the BBC.

The media make us look like primitive and ape era humans trying to develop, all due to the evil picture created by the media.

This is not unique to Nigeria, but most African nations, some people who have not visited Africa to validate their doubt assume that most of us are black monkeys living in slums and mold houses with little to no access to good clothing, some see Nigeria as a war zone, a place of political instability and terrorist attack,

Africa has always been a victim since it was discovered, for every little thing that happens in Nigeria, the world is getting more attention in an overestimated and inflated sum, the advent of some social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter has made this incidence worse.

Nigeria has problems that I know, Nigeria has come a long way, but there is still room for improvement. My issue is how the media show the village parts of Nigeria just as though they don’t have big cities. Each country has a fair share of problems. Poverty, corruption, industrial cities, suburban areas, and rural areas are everywhere. You’ve got good sides and bad sides. America has ghettos, gang crime, rape and sexual harassment, mass homicide, homicide, robbery, deprivation, homelessness, terrorist attacks. I don’t think I need to move on about issues that America has and is experiencing. Nigeria has cities, and the media doesn’t seem to be reflecting this. The number of people living in rural areas has fallen from 80 percent to 40 percent, which is nice but can still be improved. It means that the number of people living in urban areas has risen to 50.3 percent. Nigeria can be a good and well-developed country, particularly with oil being its main source of income. With a good leader, initiatives, and resources put into improving things Nigeria will become a better country.

To my fellow solo travelers who are in for a lifetime experience, you might not believe what you do find out when you visit Nigeria, the artifact, culture, tourism sites, natural vegetation, food, and great hotel deals.

Nigerians are a hospital and respectful, you can even find a volunteer tour guide that will take you around if you are skeptical about your safety, but there are parts of Nigeria that are not recommended to visit now, particularly in the northern part of the country, not all parts of Nigeria are unstable and it has nothing to do with visitors.

Nigeria is not a home to violence as the media portrays us at all times, we respect both rural and urban life, but most of the time all you see is the rural part of us.

We have a rich culture and festivals that will astound you, but often you only get to see some barbarous culture that has gone to extinction years ago.

We are friendly people, but you never get to see this good part of us, they ‘re always showing you a picture or a video of us fighting and killing each other like animals.

We are a great accomplisher who respects hard work, but most of the time you get to see and read about us is about the fraudulent activities of some greedy individuals portraying all Nigerians as global scams and cybercriminals.

the list keeps going on unexhausted,

The media, which was to be used as a tool for raising the nation to a wider extent, can also be used to destroy a nation that is, in most cases, the situation of Nigeria.

thanks for reading, if you think there is something missing, don’t fail to leave a comment.

  2. Wonderful blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely confused .. Any recommendations? Kudos!
