Get to know Maria and Lucy – the Biracial Twins.

Maria and Lucy Aylmer are twin sisters who don’t look the same. Although, as brother twins, you wouldn’t expect them to be the same, their appearances are so radically different that most people don’t believe them when they say they’re twins.

These two girls from Gloucester, UK, were born to Father Vince, who is a Caucasian, and Mother Donna, who is a half-Jamaican. Maria has dark hair, dark eyes, and the same skin tone as her mother, while her twin sister Lucy has red hair, blue eyes, and extremely pale skin.

Lucy says that“No-one ever believes that we’re twins, because I’m white and Maria is black. Even if we dress like that, we still don’t look like sisters, let alone twins. When we met friends for the first time, they never believed that we were twins, and they even made us produce our birth certificates to prove that we were twins.

Despite their differences from the outside, 18-year-old Lucy and Maria are incredibly close. Although this is a perfectly explainable genetic peculiarity, it is very rare.

However, the girls are proud of themselves and live peacefully with each other amidst their color.
